Brief History |
- Solana was formerly a barrio of Tuguegarao
- It became a separate municipality on August 18, 1851 and was named in honor of Spanish Gov.-Gen. Antonio Urbiztondo Marquez de la Solana.
- Its first inhabitants were immigrants from Pangasinan, Ilocos and a few Tagalog provinces.
- During World War II, the provincial government was evacuated to Brgy. Natappian.
- Its municipal hall was inaugurated on January 18, 1959.
